Is it hard to drive or tow for the first time?
Not at all. Vamuz (GWM Cannon) drives like a modern 4x4 — and is loaded with safety tech: lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, reverse camera, parking sensors and collision avoidance. Opus (Opus OP4, coming soon) is a tow-behind camper trailer fitted with electric drum brakes and an Elecbrake controller for a smooth, stable tow — no special licence needed. Most guests are completely comfortable within the first 20 minutes. We do a full walkthrough at pickup — including hook-up and brake-away checks — so you leave feeling confident.
What's included in the hire?
All hires come with:
  • Cookware, Jetboil with coffee plunger, cutlery, lights, water, external camp cooker, table and camp chairs
  • Salt, pepper, ground coffee, teabags, sugar
  • Linen, blankets, towels and pillows for each person booked

Opus OP4(Opus OP4, coming soon): Club lounge with portable dining table, two double beds across two internal sleeping pods (convertible to king, optional) with memory foam mattresses, slide-out stainless steel kitchen with sink and pantry, 75L dual-compartment Bluetooth fridge/freezer, and a lockable connected shower box. Sleeps up to 6 with the annexe inflated.
Vamuz (GWM 4x4): Rooftop tent (sleeps 2), 1 double swag (2nd for $50), recovery gear, 60L water, porta-potti, hot shower.
Can I take a campervan to Rainbow Beach or Double Island Point?
Yes! Vamuz (GWM Cannon 4x4) is fully set up for beach driving and off-road tracks — including Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point. It's been there and handles it brilliantly.

Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon) is built off-road ready too — mud-terrain tyres, a one-piece hot-dip galvanised chassis and heavy-duty suspension — but it needs to be towed by a suitably rated 4WD. Just let us know your plans and tow vehicle when you book and we'll make sure you're set up right.
📍  Pickup & Drop-off
+
What time can I pick up or drop off the camper?
Standard pick-up time is from 6:00am, with drop-off before 9:00pm. We offer free evening pick-up from 5:00pm the day before, if available (Camplify will charge the additional day's insurance fee). The handover process takes 30–60 minutes — please allow time.
Can you deliver the van to me or the airport?
Yes! We deliver to:
  • Sunshine Coast Airport — $45 each way
  • Brisbane Airport — $225 each way
  • Gold Coast Airport — $405 each way

We also deliver direct to your home. Delivery is charged at $45 per 15-minute drive from Warana. Message us to confirm pricing and availability.
Where do I collect the camper from?
All pickups are from Warana, Sunshine Coast QLD. We have off-street parking for loading gear, and you can leave your vehicle on the street outside. Allow 30–60 minutes for the walkthrough.
🪪  Licenses & Verification
+
What ID do I need for pickup?
Bring a valid physical driver's licence. International hirers must bring passport + Australian-translated international licence. No valid ID = no handover — no exceptions. Upload your licence in the Camplify app before pickup. Towing Vamuz III (Opus OP4) doesn't need a special licence, but do check your tow vehicle is rated for the trailer's laden weight before you book.
Can someone else drive the camper?
Yes — if they're listed and verified on the booking. They must also bring required ID at pickup. Send licence photos in advance so we can get them approved.
What happens if I forget my ID?
We cannot release the vehicle without valid ID. We'll send you a reminder the day before — double-check your Camplify verification ahead of time.

⚡  Power & Appliances
+
Can I use an air fryer or hair dryer?
Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon): Runs off a 200Ah lithium battery with a full 12V control panel — great for lighting, the fridge/freezer and USB, but not set up for high-draw appliances off-grid. At powered sites, the plug & play 240V charger connects straight to mains.
Vamuz: EcoFlow 800W — light appliances only. Check your appliance wattage before use.
How long can I go off-grid?
Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon): With 160L of water and a 105Ah lithium battery topped up by solar and DC-to-DC charging while you tow, it's built for extended stays off-grid — exact duration depends on how you use power and water.
Vamuz: Up to 4 days. Driving activates DC-to-DC charging.
All hires are sent out fully charged.
Do the vans have USB and power outlets?
Yes — Vamuz includes USB and 240V via its EcoFlow, and Opus OP4 (coming soon) includes USB and a plug & play 240V charger. Perfect for charging phones, laptops, or light appliances.
🛡️  Insurance
+
What's covered by insurance?
Camplify's policy covers on-road and light off-road driving. Beach driving requires additional cover — we'll walk you through your options before you go.
Can I drive on the beach or off-road?
Vamuz is approved for beach and off-road driving. Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon) is built off-road ready — mud-terrain tyres, hot-dip galvanised chassis — but cover depends on your tow vehicle being similarly rated and approved, so check with us before you head out. Always use recovery gear and check tide times.
Can I reduce my excess?
Yes — Camplify offers excess reduction options during booking. We recommend this if you're heading off-road or remote.
🗺️  Destinations & Permits
+
Can I take the van to K'gari (Fraser Island)?
Yes — Vamuz (4x4) is the right van for K'gari, and Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon) can go too once towed by a suitable 4WD. You'll need a vehicle access permit and a camping permit via QLD Parks. Chat to us before you go and we'll make sure you're set up with the right insurance cover.
Can I take a campervan to Rainbow Beach or Double Island Point?
Yes! Vamuz (GWM Cannon 4x4) is fully set up for beach driving and off-road tracks — including Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point. Opus OP4 (Opus OP4, coming soon) is off-road ready too, but needs to be towed by a suitably rated 4WD. Let us know your plans and tow vehicle and we'll sort you out.
Do I need to tell you where I'm going?
Yes please! It helps us ensure your trip is covered, you're equipped with the right gear, and we can give you destination-specific tips.
Can you recommend places to camp or visit?
Absolutely! Check out our Favourite Trips blog for awesome destinations. Or use our free trip planner and we'll build you a real itinerary.
🔧  Damage & Repairs
+
What if something breaks during my hire?
Let us know straight away — we'll help fix it or guide you remotely. Small issues are no problem, but breakages are charged. Roadside assistance is included for serious issues.
Am I liable for any damage?
You may be, especially if caused by misuse or a policy breach. We do a full walkthrough at pickup and return for transparency. Claims are handled through Camplify.
Do I need to clean the camper before return?
Please sweep sand, empty bins, wash dishes, and empty the toilet if used (otherwise a $150 cleaning fee applies). Smoking/vaping or heavy campfire smoke smell = $250 minimum detail fee. We handle full detailing between hires.
📅  Cancellations & Refunds
+
What if I need to cancel due to bad weather?
We're flexible and happy to refund or rebook for weather-related issues. Camplify may charge a service fee — check with them directly.
Can I change my booking dates?
Yes, as long as your new dates are available. We'll send an updated request through Camplify. Extra charges may apply for peak periods.
Do you offer credits instead of refunds?
Yes — we're happy to apply credit toward future bookings. Camplify doesn't officially support credits, so chat with us directly.
🤝  Private Booking
+
Can I book directly with you instead of through Camplify?
All hires must go through Camplify. They handle insurance, driver's licence verification, and damage or repair claims — protecting both you and us. Booking through Camplify also gives you access to roadside assistance and flexible cancellation options.
🚐  One-Way Hires
+
Do you offer one-way campervan hires?
Yes! We offer one-way hires anywhere in Australia, subject to availability. Pricing is calculated based on returning the vehicle to Sunshine Coast (our home base). Let us know your pickup/drop-off locations and dates — we'll provide a custom quote.
