  • Q: What time can I pick up or drop off the camper?

    • Standard pick-up time is from 6:00am, with drop-off before 9:00pm.

    • We offer free evening pick-up from 5:00pm the day before, if available (Camplify will charge the additional day's insurance fee).

    • The handover process takes 30–60 minutes, depending on your experience with campervans and gear—please allow time.

    Q: Can you deliver the van to me or the airport?

    • Yes! We deliver to:

      • Sunshine Coast Airport ($20 each way)

      • Brisbane Airport ($100 each way)

      • Gold Coast Airport ($200 each way)

    • We also deliver direct to your home address. Delivery is charged at $20 per 15-minute drive from Warana (e.g. an hour away = $80).

    • Message us to confirm pricing and availability.

    Q: Where do I collect the camper from if I’m picking up myself?

    • All pickups are from Warana, Sunshine Coast QLD.

    • We have off-street parking for loading gear, and you can leave your vehicle on the street outside.

    • Allow 30–60 minutes for the walkthrough, especially if catching a ferry or timing with tide changes.

  • Q: What ID do I need for pickup?

    • Bring a valid physical driver’s license.

    • International hirers: Bring passport + Australian-translated international license.

    • No valid ID = no handover—no exceptions.

    • Upload your license in the Camplify app before pickup.

    Q: Can someone else drive the camper?

    • Yes—if they’re listed and verified.

    • They must also bring required ID at pickup.

    • Send license photos in advance so we can get them approved.

    Q: What happens if I forget my ID?

    • We cannot release the vehicle without valid ID.

    • We’ll send you a reminder the day before.

    • Double-check your Camplify verification ahead of time.

  • Q: What’s included in the hire?
    All campers come with:

    • Cookware, jetboil with coffee plunger, cutlery, fridge, lights, water, external camp cooker, outside table and camp chairs

    • Salt and pepper, ground coffee, teabags, sugar

    • Dish cloth, tea towels, paper towel, dishwashing liquid

    • Linen, blankets, towels, and pillows for each person booked

    Van-specific inclusions:

    • Vamuz (Ford Transit): Sleeps 4 (2 double beds inside), full kitchenette. Optional double swag available for $50.

    • Vamuz II (GWM 4x4): Rooftop tent (sleeps 2), 1 double swag (2nd for $50), recovery gear, compressor (on request), 60L water, porta-potti, and hot shower system.

    • Vamuz III (Skoda): Rooftop tent, fridge, EcoFlow power station, basic camping gear.

    Q: Is linen included?

    • Yes! Each booking includes fitted sheets, pillows, blankets or doonas (season-dependent).

    • Vamuz II also includes linen for the rooftop tent and swag.

    • Let us know if you’d rather BYO bedding.

    Q: Are there optional extras I can add?
    Yes—just let us know in advance. Available options:

    • Second double swag ($50)

    • Porta-potti toilet (not available with Skoda/Vamuz III)

    • Hot shower system (not available with Skoda/Vamuz III)

    • Surfboards ($100 per hire – ask for details)

  • Q: How much water does the camper carry?

    • Vamuz: 70L main tank + 10L hot water

    • Vamuz II: 3 x 20L filtered jerry cans (60L)

    • Vamuz III: 20L container

    Q: Is the water safe to drink?

    • Yes—all water is filtered and drinkable.

    • Use filtered sources if refilling on the road.

    Q: Can I heat the water?

    • Vamuz: Electric heater at powered sites (12V off-grid available but not ideal)

    • Vamuz II & III: Gas-heated water (ask at pickup for demo)

  • Q: Can I use an air fryer or hair dryer in the camper?

    • Vamuz: 1600W inverter can run appliances like Nespresso machines, toasters, or blenders (off-grid) or higher wattage appliances when plugged into powered sites.

    • Vamuz II & III: EcoFlow 800W power station – light appliances only.

    • Check your appliance wattage before use.

    Q: How long can I go off-grid?

    • Vamuz: Up to 7 days with good solar conditions. Driving will activate the DC-to-DC charging and increase your days off-grid

    • Vamuz II: Up to 4 days depending on sun and power usage. Driving will activate the DC-to-DC charging and increase your days off-grid

    • Vamuz III: 1 day max – not ideal for long off-grid trips. When driving, you can plug in your EcoFlow Power Station and activate the DC-to-DC charging to increase your days off-grid

    • All vans are sent out fully charged.

    Q: Do the vans have USB and power outlets?

    • Yes—all vans include USB and 240V (via inverter or EcoFlow).

    • Perfect for charging phones, laptops, or light appliances.

  • Q: What’s covered by insurance?

    • Camplify's policy covers on-road and light off-road driving.

    • Beach driving is not covered, even in 4WD models.

    • We’ll help explain your coverage options before you go.

    Q: Can I drive on the beach or off-road?

    • Only Vamuz II is approved for beach/off-road driving.

    • Vamuz and Vamuz III are not permitted off-road.

    • We may approve short drives across unsealed roads to access campsites—just let us know beforehand.

    • Always use recovery gear and check tide times.

    Q: Can I reduce my excess?

    • Yes, Camplify offers excess reduction options during booking.

    • We recommend this if you’re heading off-road or remote.

  • IQ: Can I take the van to K’gari (Fraser Island)?

    • Yes—but only Vamuz II (4x4) is suitable.

    • You must purchase:

      • A vehicle access permit

      • A camping permit via QLD Parks

    • Beach driving damage is not covered by insurance.

    Q: Do I need to tell you where I’m going?

    • Yes please! It helps us ensure:

      • Your trip is covered

      • You’re equipped with the right gear

      • We can give destination-specific tips

    Q: Can you recommend places to camp or visit?

  • Q: What if something breaks during my hire?

    • Let us know straight away—we’ll help fix it or guide you remotely.

    • Small issues are no problem, but breakages are charged.

    • Roadside assistance is included for serious issues.

    Q: Am I liable for any damage?

    • You may be, especially if caused by misuse or policy breach.

    • We do a walkthrough at pickup and return for transparency.

    • Claims are handled through Camplify.

    Q: Do I need to clean the camper before return?

    • Please:

      • Sweep sand

      • Empty bins

      • Wash dishes

      • Empty the toilet if used (or incur a $150 cleaning fee)

    • Smoking/vaping or heavy smoke smell from campfires = $250 minimum detail fee

    • We handle full detailing between hires.

  • Q: What if I need to cancel due to bad weather?

    • We're flexible and happy to refund or rebook for weather-related issues.

    • Camplify may charge a service fee—check with them directly.

    Q: Can I change my booking dates?

    • Yes, as long as your new dates are available.

    • We’ll send an updated request through Camplify.

    • Extra charges may apply for peak periods.

    Q: Do you offer credits instead of refunds?

    • Yes—we’re happy to apply credit toward future bookings.

    • Camplify doesn’t officially support credits, so chat with us directly.

  • Q: Can I book directly with you instead of through Camplify?

    • All hires must go through Camplify.

    • They handle insurance, driver’s license verification, and damage or repair claims, which protects both you and us.

    • Booking through Camplify also gives you access to their roadside assistance and flexible cancellation options.

  • Q: Do you offer one-way campervan hires?

    • Yes! We offer one-way hires anywhere in Australia, subject to availability.

    • Pricing is calculated based on returning the vehicle to Sunshine Coast (our home base).
